Biography
Prior to coming aboard ASA College, Shaun Church was the offensive coordinator at King’s (PA) College, and previously an Assistant Coach for one season at Eastern University. There, he helped guide the 2013 team to an NCAA Division III tournament berth.
His first collegiate stop was a two-year stint at Junior College Onondaga Community College (08-09). There, he was the captain of the 2009 National Junior College Athletic Association National Championship team. Shaun’s collegiate record was an astonishing 78-3, including three national championships, and two undefeated seasons. After playing at Onondaga, Shaun went on to be a graduate of Salisbury University (2012). He played lacrosse his junior and senior years – and helped the Sea Gulls to back-to-back NCAA Division III National Championships (2011 and 2012).
Coach Shaun Church become the Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach at ASA Community College in 2014. His two-year record at ASA College was 10-19. While at ASA, he mentored 40 young men, and transferred many of them on to NCAA institutions to continue their schooling and career as lacrosse players. Shaun also coached ASA only Division 1 player Kier Johnson who is now a member of the Hampton University Pirates.
To top off the year of 2016, Coach Shaun Church has accepted a coaching position for the 2016-2017 season with the Onondaga Community College Men’s Lacrosse team. “It is a privilege to be back at my Alma Mater on the other side of the playing field”- Church says.
