Biography
A three-time All-America midfielder at Cortland, Rakoczy finished his career ranked 26th in scoring with 151 points on 109 goals and 42 assists. He was a three-time first team All-SUNYAC selection and earned first team All-ECAC honors and was named to the North-South game as a senior. The Red Dragons posted a 24-0 record in conference play, captured four SUNYAC Tournament titles and made four NCAA Div. III playoff appearances during his career. A native of Clifton Park, N.Y., Rakoczy earned a bachelor’s degree in business economics from Cortland in 2015. He competed in lacrosse and ice hockey at the Canterbury School and the Albany Academy. Rakoczy served as an assistant coach at his alma mater in 2016 and is now an assistant coach at SUNY Oswego.
