2020 Midfield Carter Parlette from Hagerty, FL has committed to Syracuse University. The Sweetlax Florida program expanded to Florida this past season and in the past three weeks has helped 7 players verbally commit to some of the top Division I programs in the Country. Martin adds, "After the tryouts finished in April I was ready to get the season started. I knew these boys were very talented and with the exposure our program could provide them in tournaments, we would help them get to the next level of play."

Parlette is excited to have made his decision to continue his education at Syracuse as the education and Coaches were a perfect fit for him.  He says about his experiences so far, "I'd like to thank Kevin Martin, Kevin Farrington and John McCarthy and all the other Coaches who have helped me along the way. It's great being a part of a lacrosse family and I can't wait to see where my lacrosse career will take me from here!"

Interview with Carter:

1. Why did you choose Syracuse to continue your education? 
Great education, great Coaches, great facilities and they are known for lacrosse. I want to be a part of that tradition.

2. What tip would you give other players looking to play at the College level?
Work very hard and challenge yourself to get better by playing against the most talented players you can play against.  Visit as many schools as you can so you get a feel for what you like and don't like, there's a school and program for anyone who wants to play in college but it isn't the same fit for each person. Find your fit.

3. What has been your favorite part of Sweetlax Lacrosse:
The level of competition and the family atmosphere - the teammates are brothers, and everyone is always looking out for each other.

4. What is your favorite subject in school?
Math

5. What is your favorite vacation spot?
Anywhere on a lake.

6. Do you have a favorite lacrosse moment so far?
Winning a tournament with Braveheart with all the friends I grew up with.

7. What do you do in your personal time to improve your game?
I spend a lot of time in the backyard practicing shots and jukes. I walk around doing stick work all the time - wall ball, cradling and playing pickup games with friends.
