Brad Gillies

Biography

Brad Gillies is currently in his first year coaching at RIT as the team's second Assistant Coach while playing in the NLL for the Rochester Knighthawks. Gillies was drafted 9th overall in the 2015 NLL Draft.

Brad played College lacrosse at RIT where he spent four years as a two-way midfielder and was named Captain in his senior year. In his 4 years at RIT, Gillies won 4 Liberty League Conference Championships and finished with a career record of 76 wins and 8 losses. Brad finished his college career with 27 goals, 70 assists, 219 ground balls, 42 caused turnovers, 2015 Honorable Mention All-American and Academic All-American.

Previously Brad played Jr.A box lacrosse in Canada for the Orangeville Northmen, winning the Minto Cup two times, Canada's Jr.A Box National Championship. Gillies was a part of launching our Sweetlax Upstate Box Program and helped our 2020 team to the 2016 Maxlax Capital Box Lacrosse Championship.
